My carb needs tuning/adjusting as my exhaust is popping and my car got an advisory on emissions.
Now, I haven't done it before so I was wondering if it was hard, or of anyone had advice?
I'm Gunna give it ago tomorrow with help from Haynes manual, the yellow bible and a friend.

You can give it a go and get it running pretty much ok using the haynes book but really you need equipment to tell you what % gases are coming out to be spot on and get the most out of your engine :)
Or could take it to a mini place and get it rolling roaded and setup, would be much better but would cost

When was the last time it was serviced ? Tight valve clearances can have a massive effect on emissions........

It needs a service soon, but the carb hasn't been touched for a over a year.

You could always give it a go with Colourtune. Dead simple to use. The actual adjustment of the carb is easy, it's knowing when, as Pelvisgt stated, the mixture is correct. For the 'old school' on here it's a case of listening to an engine. They can tell by the note whether to turn it up or down a notch. For technophobes like me I just look at the colour of the 'flame' using colourtune.
