Next time she want's to spent lots of money on a holiday abroad, refuse and insist on a camping trip to the lakes.

Accepting that she may be right on this occasion and be able to revisit this "want" in the future when circumstances are right is a sign of a good marriage with compromise.
Either that or she is a mardy cow!

As long as the decorating gets done and i take her away on some nice hot Caribbean holiday every now and then its no problem.

My mum cannot tell either, despite owning a countryman. My reply is usually that Bini's aren't mini, they're huge in comparison.

Mine keeps buying me t-shirts, coffee table books, etc. about freakin' Binis. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth or anything, but it's getting harder and harder to be polite about it.
