Get a bleed kit from halfords, only a few quid with a non return valve, which means you can bleed it solo.

The kit should have a plastic retainer, basically a piece of plastic with a whole in, so if the pipe is too big you clip this over the pipe when connected to the bleed nipple, every kit normally has one.

I've also been told you need to fill the master cylinder up after bleeding the clutch is this right ? And do you just put the clutch fluid in the little pot with the plastic screw cap on top ?

Im rebuilding my mini and have tried to bleed the clutch slave cylinder but no fluid is coming through. Ive took the fluid pot off and tried put it on again but dont know how to line the seal over the the two holes ive tried moving the pot around and my friend pumping the clutch pedal at the same time but no movement in the fluid. Can anyone help or give advice?

Fill the reservoir with fluid, fit a piece of pipe over the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder, unscrew the bleed nipple a turn, push the clutch pedal to the floor and hold it, tighten the nipple back up and slowly bring the pedal back up.

Make sure you keep the reservoir filled with fluid and just keep repeating the above process. You will most likely need to push the pedal all the way down about a dozen times before you see any fluid coming out. Keep repeating the process until the fluid coming out has no bubbles in it.

Its the old way of bleeding stuff but for me it always seams to work better than bleed kits. You will need two people to do it though.
