hey people have had a quick look around and could't find anything but sorry if this has been posted before.
I have a 998 that i took out of my mini about 1-2 years ago but wasn't going to use again however i am now considering rebuilding the unit and putting it back in the mini but i am not at all mechanical so wouldn't know where to start/what i need to do.
does anyone have or know where i can get a good idiots guide to do this please?
Thanks.

Haynes manual will take you step by step through an engine build. The key to building a good engine is patience and time. A carefully built engine will be more powerful and reliable than one that isn't.
David Vizard's a series tuning is another book that would you probably help. More for performance engines but give you good principle and advice on building an engine. The more freely it runs the more power you get to the wheels.
