Got a welder for xmas
So ill try and source some tubeing and try it out when my wleding improves
But ill defo be makeinf one with wooden blanks goings across like the american lad on here with a sliver mini his roof rack is porn ;)

Right update time on this one. Just rack done. Tuck so long as i ran out of gas saturday so finished off the rest of the welding today. Have parts of the clamps made/ borrowed for the transit :wink:. Have to wait for feet before i cut the clamps to size then its off to powder coating. Have teak ordered for the middle so should have that during the week. Was think bees wax instead of varnish always liked the look and feel of the finish bees wax gives.
Anyway We'll just let pics speak for them selfs

Only cost will be wood and powder coating

Looks great well done!

 

Not so sure the feet are on the strongest part of the roof, but i cant imagine you will be carrying anything heavy anyway!

Its form over function for me if iv to carry anything heavy ill use the transit or take out passenger seat and put it there
