Hi all
I really like the look of the works style roof racks but could never justify the cost of one ,so I
decided to have a go at building one, I mean, how hard can it be ? Heres the result so far,what do you think? its not quite finished and I might repaint it old english white as its a bit to white compared to the roof.

If only there were more people out there like you willing to have a go and make it themselves!!

I also agree you could sell these - but i'd want more of a mark up than 15% if it was me

Would've been great if you made a works style rack that fits on the gutter instead of standing on the roof.

A bit of curve to follow the contour would look better too. Might look okay on a clubby estate...

Looks great! What size tube did you use & how did you bend it?
