The two Minis I have owned were both first registered in Dudley.

My '88 Designer was First Registered 26th August 1988 (exactly 29 years after 621 AOK) ;)
First registered in South East London! Now resides in Arlesey in Bedfordshire!
Does anyone know where 'HMX' is from exactly?

it says MX is from London North East

In 1988 MX was a South East London plate.

I think you've found the fault with that search feature, it doesn't find vehicles which are currently on SORN

My registration was first registered during the period August 1987 to July 1988.
The registration was first registered in South East London.

Second 1989 Mini that I currently own now was registered in Taunton and it still has the garage number plates.
