Not really about cars very much but finding interesting old stuff on 'American Pickers' is a USA series well worth watching over on the History channel.

Just seen it on the telly, the engine on the e types was running rough, so they tryed to fix it. It started and was smoking hugely. They took the caps off the carbs and said ' that's why its smoking, there is oil in the carbs!'.

Facepalm*

If anything it's worse than last week so far. I would not have thought that possible.

As the rotor arm rotates at 8,000 rpm. therefore the crank is doing 16,000 rpm and the rest of the engine is a kit of bits on the road long before it gets there.

Does this guy actually know how an engine works? Or talk decernable english? The engine sounded like a bag of bolts when being run up for the valuer.

It really was pretty dreadful. A "made for TV" bodge from begining to end but I did like the "highly respected" valuer who walked around a freshly painted - that should set his alarm bells off - car, didn't apear to check any of the known problem areas for a 911 and then said "I do like the seat trim" ........... Yeah, right.

I think we need to remember they are actors first - and bodgers second

The arguments are pretty pathetic & seem scripted

still can't get why the scuttle corner was replaced ? Rust - I doubt it - heavy accident more likely

Did the valuer look underneath ? - he just liked to tick the boxes on his clip board

but as above - I wanted to watch it

car crash TV - if you know what I mean

the other one with ED China seems better - but that Mike is a Tw@t
