Is putting things in the headlamp bowl legal? Surely it comes under obscuring the beam with 'products' on the MOT?

Is putting things in the headlamp bowl legal? Surely it comes under obscuring the beam with 'products' on the MOT?


yeah i would think it is, but two things to bare in mind, 1 take them out before Mot, 2 don't drive at night with them in (sorry officer forgot to take them out)

Well you say that but an MOT is only valid at the time of issue. If the rozzers were to pull you over during the day with them in then they could make you retest your car. I wouldnt fancy coughing up £50 for a retest for having dice in my headlight!

i dont see a problem during the day, as i don't use my lights during the day, but if you did get pulled by a narky copper he possibly would nick you

are these items in peoples headlights just loose and jump about when the cars moving? do you have to remove them come mot time?

Until like some countries, even in daylight you will have to have your lights on. if not it's an offence. Think they spoke about doing it over here too a year or so back (although I dont think it was passed).
