Hi

I have just joined. I have a 1990 black RSP with 1293 stage 3 engine, oversized pistons and re-worked head. Goes like stink when it's not being temperamental!

I have just bought my wife a 1971 Austin Clubman. It has had a new clutch and the mechanic knows a thing or 2 about minis. He said the engine is a police car engine due to the engine number and the fact it has an alternator as opposed to a solenoid. (for working the siren and add electrics apparently)

This mini was resprayed in 2006 according to DVLA to white with black roof, but I cant find out whether it was originally a Clubman police car. If it was it's a different ball game and might be interested in getting it back to original colours electrics etc. We both can't imagine why someone would use a police car engine as a replacement.

Does anyone know where I can find out the history of this mini?

Thanks and nice to be involved

Welcome :proud:

Not sure why you've attached a photo of a conference facility, but in answer to your question, you can apply to the DVLA for a list of all former keepers of a vehicle you own by sending them a Request for information form V888. This will cost you a fiver. Just explain you want to know more about the history of the car as it's a historic vehicle.
