Swapped my wipacs for larger SIM (cibie replicas).

I used OMP steadies, though these had to be made shorter.

Are those push button bonnet fittings? If so I have a pair fitted in the corners of my bonnet, and had a right pitta trying to get them to fit properly. How did your fitting go.

Yes they are. They did take a lot of adjusting to get right.

You have them in each  corner? I can imagine that was a right pain to get right.

Mine was like this...

No spots...

Me%20new%20motor_zpsgico9qwm.jpg

First incarnation with some Ebay no make spots...

20160317_170334_zpsapw4ockb.jpg

And the latest incarnation...

KC spots and fogs ....

20160911_164039_zpsuxj54n9r.jpg

Bought them and the 2 up 2 down bracket of a lad on here..... for a reasonable price, might have been cheaper if I knew the condition beforehand....

Here's a vaguely related question...

I've got four spots on mine, I believe two of them are fogs and two are driving lamps, any reason why I can't replace the glass on the fog lights and use them all as full beam driving lights?

I have to drive down country lanes at night in the winter and fog lights a naff at the best of times!

You'd have to rewire them too so that they only came on with main beam, but other than that no reason why. But have to admit I found the factory sports pack set up pretty decent at night (and having fogs very useful when there was lots of spray ect). Perhaps look at upgrading the bulbs in the current lights would be a good way forward?

Has anyone tried using any of the LED spotlights that are all over eBay?

I occasionally go out driving in the wilds when it's dark and  it would be handy to have a load of extra illumination, but I don't want permanent large spotlights so was thinking about adapting a spare grill (they're quick release) so I can quickly bolt on a load of extra light.

They look a lot better value for money than more aesthetic ones that are normally used.

Ones like these:

But there's loads of options, different diameters, square and rectangular going up from small to absolutely massive.

Just a quick review if anyone is interested in buying fogs.

I just fitted 2x Wipac Fogs from MiniSpares - literally the cheapest ones they do - they also do the same for spot lamps.

Very good product, especially as so cheap.

Easy wiring, and the earth is the mounting clamp so you can keep the wiring super neat.

10/10
