Stage Forest Rallying.

This weekend, North Wales Car Club are organising the Cambrian Rally around the forests of Clocaenog and Penmachno, with the final one around the Great Orme tarmac stage. The event starts on Llandudno Prom at 8.00 am on Saturday and finishes around 5pm.
This will be the 25th consecutive year that I have entered in the same Mini. If you are out spectating, I am seeded 225, give me a wave.

Following on from Surfblue's & Minisi's suggestion for a TMF Motorsport section, it would be useful to have some user feedback to see if it'd viable and how it can best be implemented.

So who's already competing, and in what events? - Sevens, Miglias, Rally, Grass Track etc.

You could also let us know if you are more than casually involved - a marshal, a regular spectator of a particular series...

Who's going to start the list then?

Mighty Mini
1. charliebudd
2. leroy26
3. icklemini (mechanic)

Sevens
1. icklemini (mechanic)

Miglia
1. icklemini (mechanic)
2. MIGLIACARS (Metro Circuit Car)

Grass Track
1.

Rally
1. Tahiti Joe
2. minispaniard
3. minisi35
4. C4NNON
5. Rally1380
6. Rob Jones

Ministox
1. pmplovesminis
2. J666ERA

...add a heading if your flavour of racing isn't listed

Autosolo's, Hillclimbs, Sprints, Autotests are also popular with mini's

Would be excellent to have a dedicated Mini Motorsport Section

Crafty bump to attract today's traffic

Looks like we might be shaping up for Rally, Track, and maybe another category for stox, grass track, autotest and drag?

Sounds good, actually quite looking forward too this! Reckon there's a few guys on the British Rally forum that drive minis that would find this useful aswell!

Would it not be prudent to start with just one section, for all motorsport stuff rather than splitting into several categories? It probably won't be the busiest section in the forum, so may be more interesting if all in one area- as a lot of technical questions will be applicable over different areas of motorsport anyway.

Probably,

I wasn't just thinking about complete sections, but how to organise the "foundations" - things like faq's & guides for newcomers. The majority of us will be spectators 'n eagerly devour any exciting content with "hot Mini action".

No probs, ratios and general advice still useful though everything is the wrong way around, hard enough explaining ministox let alone all the different flavours of it.

Brisca ones are the most extreme, basically a custom built chassis from 25x50 and 40x40 with roll cage built in and subframes welded too it using a tuned 1000cc engine racing on tar or shale anti clockwise, adjustable suspension and shocks. Mini top half from 8 inches below glass bolts onto the custom chassis.

Yeah I have seen them, and they are rum ol' yokes compared to ORCi. What tracks do you race at, and I'll may be able to help. PM if you like to keep this thread clear?
