:D Good evening!!!

I am spraying my mini pink! I am goin 2 select a 'taseful' pink which compliments the car, but.........the prob is. What type of paint shud I get!? I want something that stands out, gives an impression but not an ugly one! I dont want 2pac paint as it would b far far 2 bold for me, but I want something that no other car has (so preferably not standard metallic), or few cars have.Prob is, being a student I cant afford this top notch flip paint or eclipse paint. Am considering flakes over the body? Please help!! :D

well you pretty much answered that one, if your a student then you probably will end up getting the normal metallic, but then again there are tonnes of shades of pink.
also i dont think metalflake is expensive, but im not sure how you go about spraying it, whether you just spray with it mixed in the normal paint or not, obviously this could mean more on the painting bill.

Depending on the price of the paint I can afford more but just not the overly expensive 1.e £150 + per litre. Also prats like to key cars which hav expensive paint so I want effective but also repairable within price reason. Ive been saving :D My dad can do the spraying which is no problem as I dont hav 2 pay manual labour just for the paint. Flakes are just added to the laquer, but I dont kno whether it would look tacky or not. I want a smart car, not a cheap tacky (no offence intended) chavvy car. I would b happy with metallic but I would like something with a bit more spice.

Go for a pearl pink!!

My mini is being sprayed pearl white but the paint is coming to £500. So its not cheap paint by all means.

But pink pearl would look cool, i dont think it would be chavvy!

:D* Can u get different tones of pearl pink or is it more of a pale pink? I saw a pearl pink Fiat cheicheto A.K.A CHUMPO!! And the pink was of a pearly sort but it looked, a bit, of a dull dirty pink. Didnt really do much for me. I think I will go 2 c & c car colours sometime soon, thats if they even have examples of pearl paint. Do u kno how much it is roughly per litre?

I think there will be many different shades of pearl pink.

When i went to the sprayers and ask to look at pearl white, he showed me a few different kinds with different coloured pearls in the white.

Try and get to a body shop and look at some colour cards :D

Edit: As for how much it is, im not sure. I got quoted £500 for the paint and the sprayer uses 3 litres.

Is that with them preparing aswell? Or just for the spraying or just for the paint?

Yeap, im worried about the nice things being pulled off or it being scratched. :'(

But its being built to be used and driven everyday, so it'll get marks on it eventually. Oh well, all you can do is look after it.

Also with your colour if you can see it on a car it makes alot of difference, i found the colour cards didnt do the colour justice. I saw the colour on a Cadillac and it looked completely different and so much nicer!
