Hello,
As a local Mini group we have been asked to organise a display of Classic Mini's for the Manchester indoor show on April 6th & 7th. It is FREE to exhibit your car with free entry to the show for two adults with the car.

With Passion for Power as the events title we thought a good line-up of Cooper's and Mega Modified Mini's would be great! The organisers are looking for the very best Show Cars, but the odd well raced/rallied competition car would be allowed.

Any really nice condition Mini's welcome, even standard models, ie Travellers, Saloons, Vans or Pick-up's the organisers prefer concours to A1 condition please.

This is a major indoor event see:-

Private entry forms are available to print off on the main organisers website, they are called Cheshire Auto Promotions.

The show is at EventCity by The Trafford Centre, there are lots of Premier Inn's in walking distance and all the shops, bars, cinemas and restaurants in the Mall just over the glass bridge.

It's a great event with loads of trade stands etc. Hope you can join us thank you for reading!

It is very very nice in the flesh, but he has built it to drive so it hasn't the stupidly anal finish that 'concourse' seems to imply these days. For a start the engine has internals fitted AND oil (horribly messy stuff).

Oh Lol. Mines never gonna be concourse then. :o

If I car isn't even driven every now and again its not worth owning. This must be the people that polish their spark plugs?

Not sure about minis to be honest, but I know several marques have introduced rules stating a car must be driven into the show as cars were trailered to and from the shows. The classic bike show at Stafford is even worse, the last time I went there was a lot of irritation about bikes with no engine internals at all. Why would you bother?

To be fair to the OP I don't that is quite what they are after here and it's a great offer for someone with a nice car.

The application form

Note that they'll have your car for the whole weekend (Friday to Sun evening) and you'll have to arrange your own insurance cover.

Most Classic Car Insurance policies will cover you for exhibiting your car I'm sure, especially at an indoor event, were security is very tight. Thanks!

We took our Mk1 to this show this year and had a great time. :-) We'll be going next year and I'll be taking my Maestro, which isn't concours but she is A1. I think I might have a protest on my hands as my husband is not a Maestro fan (but who knows, he might be by then :D) so will want to take a Mini.

Took mine to this years aswell , shame I was squashed against a post. Was a good array of cars there :) ,
Was also a good opportunity to get some photos with the artificial light, made my cars colour look different :)

Just hope next year something is done to restrict prams/buggies going inbetween cars, I wasn't the only one fed up with the near misses from them.

I like your excellent 1960's roof rack, that's worth a few quid, you know!. I saw a bloke pay £80 for one like that at Beaulieu Autojumble!! Also your Clubman hubcaps are getting hard to find these days!
