The Ford GT40's stole the limelight that year but we could be proud that the Mini Marcos is famous for being the only British car to finish the 24 that year.

Out of 55 cars that entered, 29 were Fords or Ferraris, but the Marcos still finished 15th after qualifying... 55th It beat 4.0l Ferrari 250s, 4.7l GT40s, Matras, BRMs. All with an A-series ^^
