"There’s not a lot of information available about Leonard Lord. We know it was he who employed Alec Issigonis, and instigated the development of the Mini, but what else do we really know about him? Hopefully we can now find out in a new book by Martyn Nutland, who tells us: “Brick by Brick - the biography of the man who really made the Mini – Leonard Lord, is a unique social and political history brim full of intrigue in high places, the machinations of captains of industry, wartime action, industrial violence, glamorous cars and a tantalizing dose of sexual misdemeanor.”

"The myth that Alec Issigonis conceived the Mini is just one whisp of the smoke screen that obscures the untold story of post-War Britain’s greatest industrialist."

Production of Martyn's biography of Leonard Lord is complete and it's "in the shops".
