Mate, fit the mudflaps the proper way:
80 mm ground clearance
40 mm sticking out the body

These were to old regulations... regs changed, need to protrude past the outside of the wheel by a certain amount (not neccesarily where the body is)

but in anycase... profile the inside of the mudflap to it doesnt appear to just side against the inside edge of the arch (if that makes sence)

Yes they look ridiculous!! .........What's more "mud flaps equals rust traps", so I'd get rid of them if it were me.

im putting plenty of grease where its going into the body work, or i may think of an ingenious idea so they dont have to be drilled into metal:)

i think you need to think hard about what look your actually going for here mate.

your car has the low slung street racer thing going on, which doesnt include mudflaps.

if it was red with white squares on the doors, higher, group2 arches, knobblies, and a cage i would say fit the flaps.

there are plenty of additions and modifications that i like, but as you have said yourself, not many of them work together. dont mis your styles as it will just look a mess. i think your car looks good as it is, its not my style, but what you have done suits it. i think i would just perfect what you have, dont stick anything else to it!
