Looks like this 1978 Police Mini project seen on Ebay back in 2012 eventually got restored:-

I believe Liverpool Police had a couple of Mk.1 970 Cooper 'S's.

Can anyone confirm this?

Conway police still had mini's in 1985 - I remember thinking at the time it seemed a bit quaint...
