I think the external engine cut off and electric isolator handles would look good, and a fire extinguisher somewhere...

A few off Google for you to mull over
I would go for white door squares, get your name/ naitionality and your 'co-drivers' on the front wings.
A couple of 70's logo's would look good, but you don't need to go mad and cover the car in stickers to get the look.
Also found a mk1 escort/mini photoshop But using mk2 escorts as a alternative basis would work well as well I reckon
that escort clubby looks like the real deal! love it! i'd pay good money for one of them!

I think a stick on plate on the bonnet will only get you pulled by the plod. Unlike a round nosed Mini you can't see it too well from the front, Ok if your standing over it.
The Aqua car was one of the first 1275GTs, and was tested by Autocar in 1969
and then used by teh Abingdon works. The car is now as it appeared in the 1972 Lombard RAC Rally.

How about find a copy of a rule book for a rally series that the mini competes/competed in and just cherry pick the bits you like?

I spoke to the bloke for a good while at the Stanford show last year about he car. The arches are escort ones and took him an age to fit them! (his words!). That car is the *******! Only issues are te front panel and half of the inner wings are cut from another clubby and welded on. Nothing wrong with it but you can see the weld seams :/. And he interiour is quite
Cluttered. But apart from that 100/100!

The Square 8s look good, but they were used on big saloons, like Shadows and P6's etc... Cibies or Lucas 700s are more suited.
Mudflaps, yes, but if you're saying tarmac spec, then they wouldn't really be used... Rolled up or removed...
Sumpguard, de-bumpered, perspex windows, skid pans on bits that are likely to get ripped off... pins or straps to stop things flying open...
Alot of practicality over style in rallying....

Seems like you have a lot to change to be honest... Matt black wont work for a rally car, apart from the bonnet, which was used to stop the glare...

its satin not matte black
so there is a shine to it, it isnt flat. I really would like to get 4 spot lights on the front, raise the car, put mudflaps on, a sump guard and some stickers
my bonnet is on aero catches, and i dont want to debumper it as it is a clubby and i dont particularly like the look of them like that
i dont know how i am supposed to attach the lights to my car though? hmmm
i didnt think ive got much to change apart from what ive just mentioned because im not actually rallying the car so having perspex windows would be unpractical as it could compromise its safety.
i loooooove your mini, one of my favourites on here! :)

Mini Magazine did a feature on the orange one with the bubble arches in the May 2011 issue. I have a copy here that I could scan the pictures from and post them if people wanted, so long as that's ok with the forum rules?
