I take it the rover "MINI" was identical to the bimmer one just with rover badges?
Yes, note the Rover style Cooper badges in this early 1997 MINI preview video:
Although like the Rover Classic Mini it is unlikely there would be any visible external Rover badges as Mini was sold as a standalone 'marque' from the 1969 Mk3 range onwards. Even today the modern MINI has no external BMW branding or badges visible and is sold from MINI showrooms seperate to the parent BMW range.
