Holy thread revival batman!

Im part way into a similar build, and the major headache at the moment is what happens when it comes to registering? How did you go about getting this done?

Yes please mate. I know about the points system, but IF the mx5 doesnt count as body over chassis then this doesnt meet the compulsory monocoque 5 points

if the MX5 is a chassis with body on top and you use the unmodified MX5 chassis you can put what ever body you like on top

and as long as you use the MX5's V5 it's all legal and no IVA test required

me I'm not so sure a MX5 is a chassis car with separate body , i think it's a monocoque with a form of chassis welded to the bottom , but I'm no expert on MX5's and I'm sure if you asked the right people you could get an answer

Mx5 is a monocoque/unified chassis

Remove anything that unbolts from the body and you are ok. Take angle grinder to it and its IVA time!

LOADS of people mod cars and ignore the IVA just like they did with the SVA. Cant beat em.....
