Who's going?
We want to go, but our little girl is only going to be 6 months old then, and fear that we have left it too late to book a caravan. So is there anywhere local to stay? Camping isn't really an option at the minute, just in case it is a little cold. Would probably have to bring 2 cars if we brought all the camping gear as well.

If your heading down to Newquay theres 100s of places to stay, hotels, BnBs, Cavaravans, just type it in a search on google.

Trevelgue is quite a drive from Newquay though, isn't it? Might just have to buy a trailer and drive the daily down. At least we know we'll get there and back without breaking down and have air con etc. Cause let's face it, the queue's going back up North are going to be terrible. Unless we stay for a week or so. Can't see what age you have to pay from either. Girl age 6 months and possibly my little lad who is 7.
Cheers.

ideally we're after something close, where we can either walk to after a few beers, or get a taxi at a reasonable rate. Been to Redruth in the past, isn't Cambourne lovely ;) Think it was a thursday afternoon and all the pubs were packed, found out it was dole money day. Had a good laugh though.

trevelgue is in porth which is apart of newquay more or less. within walking distance under 3 miles i'd say.

and you are the first person to call cambourne lovely in history hahahaha hopefully i can get time off work to come over this year, its a nightmare to get time off that time of year

yeah thats the problem with being an emmet the taxi drivers do tend to try and mug you guys off big time, i would try the 'Im local' trick but it wont really work getting dropped off at a campsite or hotel.

Newquay is a very touristy area with 100's of places to stay

phone the tourist info centre http://www.visitnewq...-centre-p549463 and they can help with where to stay

our son William was 19 days old when he camped at his first riviera run, kids will sleep anywhere

Hours walk from centre of Newquay to Trevelgue, used to do it every year. It is good exercise for all the bad stuff you will drink ;)

Theres a camp site in Porth, opposite the Mermaid pub. Can't remember the name of it but some of the SMAG members go there as its quieter and 5 minutes from Trevelgue and ten to Newquay (driving).

Try messaging Alex or Miniman86 on here, as he's stayed there a couple of times.

i really would use caution when booking a good deal though. newquay is very popular with the young drinkers like me and ive stayed in some dives where the walls were crawling.

camborne and lovely :X whatever next... its the only place in my beloved county where a burnt out car and 2 washing machines pass off as garden furniture !!

on a lighter note ill be going :shades: viva la Kernow!!
