Just testing the water to see if anyone would be interested in my pride and joy, i've spent a lot of money on this but im looking at moving onto another car. Its originally a 850cc but I installed a fully rebuilt, no expense spared 1293cc last month, the new engine has just clocked 1000 miles but will increase as I use it daily. The car itself has done 39000 miles, very low as the previous owner had dry stored for many years. The cars immaculate however it does unfortunately have oversills, therefore I ensured that I waxoilyed it them regularly, there's also a slight bubbling in the top corner of the A-panel. Both bumpers and mirrors are slightly pitted so they could do with replacing. The underside is solid with no patches.

Details:

Interior:
Central Speedo
Mk2 Rs Turbo Recaro Bucket seats
Custom Dash with Vibe speakers
Underseat LEDs
Paddy Hopkirk carpet set
Savage push button start
Toggle switches for lights and heater

Exterior:
Bullet mirrors (slighty rusty)
Angel eye headlights
MK3 rear lenses
Chrome handle set
Tinted windows with etched mini on rear side windows
Currently has steel wheels on to suit winter tyres but mini will come with set of black minilite style wheels with good tyres

Engine:
1293cc fully rebuilt engine with all receipts to prove
Guessworks fully rebuilt box with central oil pick up pipe and 3.11 final drive
New Nural pistons
All new bearings and seals
New clutch and slave cylinder
New clutch housing
New Hif44 carb
New stainless manifold
New stainless 1'3/4 RC40 single box exhaust
New aluminium radiator

Heres some pictures but feel free to ask for more, I don't have any detailed ones of the interior but just ask if your interested.

Im not entirely sure on the price as i spent a lot of money on it but i do realise that its not perfect so if your interested pm me or ring me on 07757724693 for more details.

Thanks for reading!

£101.50
It's not the over sills that are the problem, it's more the problems they could be hiding. Mine has them, and I'm budgeting for the worst when they get removed.

Looks tidy enough, could do with some pics of the interior and close ups of the usual problem areas.

One thing that would put me off if I was buying it would be the wiring loom.

Has the engine been changed on the log book?

I'll get some pictures today to help everyone. I agree the harness was never to my taste but I never had chance to tidy it up properly.

The engine has not been changed on the logbook but i do have the original 850 to go with it.

An idea of what went into the no expense spared build may help. Also who built it and any receipts.
Looks quite tidy though.

Me and my dad rebuilt the engine, he's capable as he's built plenty of engines in his time with no problems.

New pistons + rings
Rebored 1275 a+ block
Reground crank
New cam bearings
New oil pump
New timing chain kit
New clutch
Valve seats re-cut
Valves re-cut
Skimmed head
New flywheel housing fitted with new bearings and seal
New Aldon Distributor along with all new plugs, leads, coil etc
New alloy minisport inlet manifold
New Hif44 carb
New K&N cone filter
New pot joints

Bought most of the bits from minispares, came to £848
Gearbox cost £429
Engine machining and parts came to £650

I kept pretty much every receipt i've had so its all there to confirm it

Like said before the car will also come with the original 850cc engine

You might be better off, selling it with the original engine fitted and selling the 1293 separately. Think you'd make a little more doing it that way.

I think the big thing will being able to prove there is no nastiness hiding under the oversills. The rust in the corner of the wing is not the end of the world but will detract slightly from the overall value. Value wise ask £2000 and expect to get offers in the region of £1800.

With the rust sorted and oversills gone then you should get £2k and a little more say around £2.2K
