The Minibusa is loaded, tomorrow we head out for a Track Day vacation. We're leaving cold snowy Central Oregon and heading south to sunny Calif. On the way down I have track days reserved at Buttonwillow Raceway, Willow Springs Raceway, And ending up at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway where we will be staying for a few days. Then on the way home stops at Fontana Raceway, Luguna Seca, Sears Point and Thunderhill. Whish me luck.

Wow, that's a pretty spectacular list of tracks to be able to visit. Especially in one trip!

We just pulled into Willow Springs a day early.

Somewhat disappointing day. No major problems, just sorting out new car bugs. The car was losing power under full throttle at times, and the master link in the final drive chain broke, no biggey. So today we need to replace the ultra light weight race battery with a bigger one and get a new master link.
All in all we had a good time. The weather was great, t-shirts. The track was awesome, and I did get several good runs. I posted a video on our Facebook page.

Well we spent the day at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway yesterday. This is probably the best track I have been on. Fairly flat, lots of corners with a couple blind and a couple off camber. Two straights, fairly short, 1100 and 1300 feet. This track is perfect for my car and my driving style. The car ran well and I did good. I didn't get any videos as I didn't realize I had a dead battery in the camera but I'll get some today.

Today was not a good day. I sprung a leak in the oil line feeding the turbo and although we were able to get that fixed, one thing led to another and the Minibusa was retired to the trailer.

Linda ran her John Cooper Works through tech so I could finish the day with it. If you go to my Facebook page, "Lunatic Racing" I posted my 1st lap and shows what happens when you take a negative camber turn to fast with cold, hard, street tires.
