Hi guys and gals, it's been a while since I've been on the forum but I'm after some help. My turbo engine has gone missing in transit, it was put on a pallet and getting sent back to Jonspeed racing for some tlc but it never arrived. It was sent via Citylink and the collection note shows it got as far as Warrington, but there's no sign of it after that.

The engine number is JON143SBW, the engine was complete with megajolt, all ancillaries, 1.5 roller rockers, 4 pin diff etc etc.
If anybody has seen it, or knows it's whereabouts please PM me.

Gutted for you mate! If the company has lost it in transit, surely they are insured to cover such loses and will pay out if its not found?

Yes it was, but as I don't have receipts for everything that was on or in the engine I'm not going to get like for like back. I bought some of the bits in 2004 but only fitted them recently, I'm gutted as the car is away getting a full rebuild and is only waiting on the engine to see me back on the road.

Wouldn't jonspeed have a record of the engine spec if they built it originally? Also did you state the value of the item when you arranged the insurance?

I assume the op mention it might be worth a phone call to them see if they have any info, if it has been stolen rather than lost the delivery driver might have tried to sell it to them.

The courier was arranged by Jonspeed so I had no say, they have the original spec as it was originally a challenge cup engine, but I added rather a few bits over the years. It never came with megajolt, unleaded head, 4 pin diff or roller rockers amongst other bits. To top it off, all pictures of the engine build and additions died along with my external hard drive. I've recovered as much off it as I could, and the pics have gone. The collection driver has been great, he's given me more info and assistance than the citylink rep. Thanks for the comments guys, I've trawled ebay and made more phone calls than a child with a contract phone, it looks to have gone for good I'm afraid.
