The engine was warmed up I did a few short fast runs of the car next thing I am doing around 60mph felt a vibration and the the exhaust joints had come apart. I check for restrictions in the exhaust pipes, engine movement but I can't seem to find the answer as this happen to anyone and if so how will I stop this happening again.

i had stainless bolts, there should be nuts welded to the manifold at the joints? i used springs previously, but they just stretched. the bolts done the job just fine.

how are you getting on with the clutch and throttle?

thanks Ed why did I not see that. Whats happened after the exhaust popped the engine is now running quite lumpy on tick over I do not know why any ideas?
