So heres my problem .
Currently im restoring my 1992 mini . Deseamed the baby and now the full roll cage is all welded in shes starting to take back a bit of shape.

Iv been toying around with what engien to put in her, Aseries , B16A2, R1, Hyabusssa, you get the idea

Then i decided i want to RWD her to actually get some traction and then taking her down Santa pod when shes done.
The engine search starts again .

Iv narrowed my choice down to a 2.0L Duratec bolted on to a type 9 gearbox. rurring a sierrea LSD.
Iv got my front plans for the front of the car all sorted but i am strugerling with the back !
I dont know how to build the rear subframe ,

Ovbiously the diff will sit in the middel and then two half shaft going to the hubs.

i have no idea what hubs to use and how to mount them or anything ?
Can anyone help ?

have a look at the rx8 mini in the build thread, he figured it out but if you want traction why front engine rwd? you are effectively reducing weight over the driving wheels so in effect would have less traction than a engine over the top

This car will be used as a daily drive aswell so i dont want mid engined , rear wheel drive becuase of all the lost space and huge oversteer issues ,

Take a look at some kit car builds, in particular the Haynes roadster, these use the sierra rear setup and there is a Haynes manual available, " build your own sports car".

The Haynes roadster forum may have some interesting threads also, wishbones and rear hub setups are all available to purchase in kit or built form to suit the sierra shafts, it would then be a case of adapting the design to incorporate the mini.

just go for a k series mini say the 160vvc, these engines are slightly lighter than a mini engine and Honda b series engine but still 160bhp plus will be in the front of the mini so the weight is over the wheels, and much better steering. if its everyday and you dont want to loose space think about the propshaft tunnel running all the way through the car and the tiny boot space you'll have do to the height of the diff and the fuel tank

No you missed my point. Front-wheel drive Duratec and electric motors at the back. Why didn't he just say front engined rear wheel drive.
