Day 7
now that the reinforcing plates are welded it its time to sort out the back end of the load bay.
The lip must be wrong This is what i thought, maybe I have welded the lip in the wrong way but that would not answer the fact nothing lines up.
It all looks wrong! why have i got a step in on the edge of the load bay? took a while to realise that the answer was in front of me the whole time
on the yellow panel you can see a bent in the panel thats what the step replicates. so its the flats on the step that lines up and not the faces.
abit of trimming was done and it looks like it all fits now:

Any of my Pickup mates out there Know if the rear bulkhead should be flat or have a curve it in?

The pickup load bay bulk head should have a 'joggle' in it , so the drivers side has a more leg room in the cab
Not totally sure this is what you are asking ?

sorry from top to bottom as it were, should that have a curve in it?

Yes there should be joggles in it for strength. And as said the drivers side should be further back than the passenger side. So a curve in the middle from the top to the bottom edge. Can get a PIC tonight if you want

ok forget the joggled bit forget the curve for the driver, whats left? my Panel has a bow or bend or curve in it, you can see it best by looking down on it from the window so it runs in the same direction as the joggled elements.
its not so visible on the photos but it a good 1.5cm in total!
