That seems to be about the mark, but that's on a dealer forecourt, so I'd say something like £300 as a private sale.

Pictures help a valuation greatly.

Taking into consideration most peoples views on Rovers, which is they're not very good. I'm not saying they're not but thats what the majority of people think....

£700? max. Its only 1.1 Even if it was pristine.
But a more likely figure, is £500.

But again....

MOT?
Tax?
Body Work?
Head gasket been done?
Service History?
Pictures?
Has it been smoked in?

People seem to ask upto a 1000 for clean low mileage cars but they dont sell and I dont think they are worth it

Id say 500 - 700

Somewhere in that range is what I'd pay but only if there was no rust and the interior was mint and not many 'age related Marks'

The value of Metros has risen a lot over the past few years, whilst the above valuation of £300 would have been spot on 3/4 years ago, they're worth a fair bit more these days.

My Rover 114 GSI (The top spec, but not massively desirable because it has 4 doors) was £350 a few years ago. In fairness, It'd only done 49k and it was good, but the rear arches were starting to give up and it was far from perfect. I got it for a steal back then, since GSI's sell for anywhere from 400-1100 more recently.

A decent Mk3 Rover Metro can sell for £1200 (Really...) but ropey ready to go examples sell for anything above the £200 mark.

I think for a Kensington in good condition you'd probably be looking at around 600-700 for a quick sale, but depending on true condition anywhere up to £1000 if you're lucky.

It might be worth holding onto for a bit longest, because I've watched these cars in all their guises with a close eye over the last few years and honestly, some examples have doubled in value, and certainly none have gone down at all.

Just my contribution. Some of it may be hard to believe but I have scouted Ebay and most ad sites almost daily over the past few years so have a pretty good idea on the value right now :-)

Also, for the sake of the 65 quid it'll cost you it's worth listing the car as Taxed, Mot'd and ready to drive away, because I think listng with half a years tax does bring in a lot of potential buyers compared to having to faff about organising it themselves on a car that they dont have all the details for.

They are becoming rarer as it goes, there is rarely more than 15 Rover 100's on Ebay at any one time. If you count in the 111's, 114's and Metros you'd probably reach about 50 but still compared with cars in the same league, there isn't many.

My cousin just paid £950 for a P plate Kensington with 13k & one owner with a years MOT etc. There were quite a few advertised for £950/995 all sub 20k so, I'd say £600 to £700 if it's clean & not rusty.

I look everyday on eBay and Autotrader at 100s and Metros to see if there are any sub 400 ones on there but I rarely find them

If there is they are miles away and the local ones are like a grand plus :/
