My mate is giving me a turbo and I was wondering will it fit my 998cc mini engine it is a borg warner turbo I know I will have to modify my car make it fit if its possible but if it will be worth it

Just realised there's tons of different versions so il leave it till I find out everything about it all I know it was fitted to his mk2 golf

Can a turbo be fitted to a 998?, it's what I wanted to do to mine but was left disappointed to find all I could find was turbos for 1275, I've been told a turbo on a 998 would just blow it up. If there is a turbo that can be fitted let me know!!!

Whoever told you this obviously had no idea what they were talking about. Basically any engine can be Turbocharged. If a larger engine can be Turboed why would a smaller engine with a suitable Turbo blow up ?
As said do a search theres plenty of Turbo 998's out there.
