Hi, does anyone know who the guy in Birmingham I think that does mini bodywork on the side, or used to anyway? Sorry I can't be more specific, all I remember is he had a Orange Metro? Looking to have some work done and been told not to use Fusion and go to the mini hospital, but I want to try the Birmingham guy first as I remember seeing some of his work and very reasonable.

Thanks mate, shame that as only ever heard good things about Bob and pretty local too.
I only found out when I couldn't find his Facebook page when I was on the hunt for spare wheels and tyres a few weeks back.

Shame Bob has packed it in - very good and just around the corner from me
Not sure who the new guy is as yet
As for Fusion - i did you him and to be honest it has turned out ok (most of the body panels replaced/full respray etc)
This was last year and no issues bubbles/rust etc coming back (so far lol)
Took about 8 months or so just a couple of months longet than planned - but dont they all?

It's a shame when stuff like this happens, the early part of this thread is full of positive reviews and as you got through it gets more and more negative.
There are a lot of people who seem to be happy with the work done, but there also seems to be an increasing number of people who are unhappy.

Same! I'd be round there making sure my car is still in their workshop. Or checking their workshop is still there!

nope - body was painted in Jan (I think) - plan was to complete in March....new status is that additional work is needed.
Ill be back in the UK in Aug - I plan to collect it then.
to be fair the pics I saw of the finished paint looked really nice. I hope in August I can post some positive news!
