I have already planned out about £1000 over the next 6 weeks, then add on Insurance and petrol.. Most expensive Resto I have ever done, I think it will be about £4500-5000 when finished.

think i'm around £1000/1500 in so far (not counting the cost of the van) and the way things are going think mines gonna come in closer to the £6000 mark...
need to find some cheap bits i think

times like this i wish i had a proper job with regular pay..not as and when like mine is...

Was the inner the bad panel with regards to the apex panel or was it the outer you altered ?

Cheers

i'd say it was the inner wing..even though i measured 3/4 times before i fixed it..it was exactly the same as the old one..ended up cutting the top of it bending it back and welding it back before fitting the inner Apan to it..

I can recommend Krych Trimming if you don't mind doing the 80 odd miles to Bristol. They did my seats last month and did part of my parents Mk2 seat where it was torn.

You going to keep it the same colour? Style? I wish my van was as old as yours! Does it have a 3letter / 3 number style plate ? Keep up the good work the TMF minivan meet needs to happen

thanks mate..trying to keep as close to spec as possible, the chances are that i'll be selling this one once it's done and then finding a later one to vtec or something..as for colour the log book says grey..it's black at the moment..but as it's rubbed down i'm finding a lot of red so i'm thinking on doing it damask red or whatever it is(1 of the colours availible in 61) and yes 3 and 3 though it's on an x plate cause the mini centre i got it from kept the number off it..

think we have enough van owners on here to make it a good one to :D

Is the red a layer of paint or is it the primer that was originally put on?
