hi everyone

i own a 1984 mini 25 998cc and i cant find the main earth for the engine i wondered if anyone could help

it should be on the engine stabilizer bolt to the bulkhead just below master cylinders or failing that the center of the universe !

look down on the right inner wing at the front, mine on a 1980 mk4 is there between inner wing and clutch cover bolts

Should run alongside the top engine steady, on the left hand side of the engine

theres not one underneath the master cylinder or near the engine stabaliser, the centre of the universe sounds right

weve checked there and its not there, weve looked in the haynes manual and all the places it says in there it isnt on mine, so it looks like my mini doesnt have an earth

If its cranking over you do otherwise your choke cable is toasted, I have seen them also on the right hand side at the front. you could always fit a new one on the stabliser if your worried

theres not one there ive just jacked her up and looked at both sides of the wings theres none there, and along other bits and cant find one at all

the main earth would be a big braided wire wouldnt it?
