I had considered putting arches onto my pickup, as I wanted to fit the 10x6 wellers I had. But couldn't bring myself to do it in the end.

I really like the look of some of these cars... With or without arches.

I think it's down to the car and how it's done. If done well and the gap is right then arch less looks awesome. Same goes for arches, I just don't like suuuper wide arches (I think they look a bit out of place...)

Personally I run arches. My wheels would stick out too far to run arch less. A winning combination for me is a nice set of 10 inch wheels with chrome arch less trim. Love it.

Mine has big arches and wide 13s.

I'd still choose archless every time though :)

Would do it to mine if it wasn't for the annoying holes that are left behind after removing the arches.

I just found a pic of mine with arches!

They lasted less than 24 hours before I pulled them off!

You'll have to excuse the primer camo look, a motorcycle decided it wanted to see how hard a clubman front bumper was.

Before and after thanks to the TMF 10" wheels thread that cost me a pretty penny.

Arches are Somerford Grp 1, and man did I bodge the trim.  When I heatgunned a section to bend, it wouldn't just slowly soften - it would suddenly bend and crinkle.  I need to look up a thread on that.

Before are 4.75 x 10 MWS and 008s.  After is 6 x 10 Ultralites and 032s.  Front: S brakes, no spacers.  Rear:  1/2" spacer (before); Superfins with built-in spacer (after);

Archless.

In another thread last week, I asked about my predicament: Belgium MOT disallowing 5x10's with std. 70's black plastic arches.

went with the advice of finding a set of steels - got a 'steal': set of 4 with tyres very rusty but with 'potential' for €30.

After the weekend, the wheels are now beautiful gloss OE White to match the roof. I am now investigating how much work to remove the arches as I like the 3.5's better than my current 5x10's.

What was designed as a MOT dodge, may end up costing a few hundred in bodywork! Oh hum.

Another vote for arch-less.

Or if you do have arches, just the little ones that were standard on some, like my '93 Rio, i tend to think the fat bubble shape ones make mini's look a bit daft.

I've always been a massive fan of arch extensions and have had them on all of mine, but with the Clubman it just didn't look right at all. Getting rid of them was one of the first things I did. Love that skinny look now!

Looks so good without the arches. A much more classic look.
