Draper Cold Galvanising Spray or Rocol cold galv spray 90% zinc content. Anyone used it. Can't find the zinc content amount of it. Was thinking it may be a good primer for the underside and inside floors. Most cold galvanising sprays are 90 to 93% zinc so should be good for rust protection.

Am I wrong?

Im not expert,

but yeah it should be good aslong as it has Zinc in it.

Red oxide paints have a high level or Zinc...and that works great.

All I can say is get a bit sheet of steel and paint/spray half of it in what ever your going to use, leave half showing steel and just leave it outside... and see :proud:

P.S Make sure it isnt stainless steel :xxx: :xxx:

Depends which make of it is I guess..

I got mine from the trading estate, they mix it up for you there and then, but its dam good stuff though... I left a tiny bit of metal outside, and its still not gone rusty

So Its just a blank tin, Mine is red though.. you can get grey... but thats more for industrial type, like protecting large areas.

Grey is cheaper but not as effective I believe.

Where are you using it may I ask?

Wanting to use it on the underside and interior floors guess most rust effected areas and not needing a smooth finish like visable panels

Well yeah in that case.... just drill wire brush what you can.

Then Red oxide and be pretty generous lol...

then chassis black, two layers....

and then a wax spray. the wax is for water and chassis black is for stone chips, red oxide for stopping the rust spread.

:proud:
