It's the fact he carried on trying to start it with flames leaping past his hand that worries me most about the future of the human race!

This is like one of those dramatised video's you're forced to watch on Health and Safety courses

I love the fact he left the petrol can next to the fire until the last minute - legend

took this from the intro to the video.

My drift miata with a Chevy 350 bursts into flames

My name is shawn prince and i am 23 years old. I was/am building a Mazda miata drift car powered by a small block Chevy 350. I was super excited to start it.... I could not start with exhaust manifolds because they would not fit. I have to make my own.... But aside from that, I mounted in the car, via modified subframe and hooked a hoist on the rear to keep the engine level.... I hooked up all the fuel lines and gave it a go.... Resulted in a horrendous fire where I got 1st and 2nd degree burns all over my left arm and leg...
the reason for the fire is ignition timing was off and fuel pressure at the regulator was too high.... I killed fuel and spark and I kept turning the engine over so it would suck the fire back into the engine therefore extinguishing the fire but that didn't work and I did not have a fire extinguisher so I grabbed the hose....
I do not have insurance with my employer so that is why I am creating this.... to help me pay the burn clinic to treat me for my misfortune and for the time I am missing at my job to make money so I can live.
Any donations are more than welcome and much appreciated. Thank you.

face palm doesnt even cover it. "kept turning the engine over to suck the fire back into the engine"so he tried to start an engine without any exhaust system, any cooling system, a primitive fuel line and a booster pack.

Future Darwin award winner me thinks.

I like how you get to a point and think it can't get any worse and then he moves the petrol can and it all flares up. I wonder how many hairs he has left on him after that.

He has clearly never been on a health and safety course as you are not supposed to use water on a liquid fuel fire. It causes the fuel to spread and increase the area that the flames are covering.

I think he may have fried his coil and flooded his engine after that little incident.
