Oh, My, words fail me but thats hilarious!

I did this once on a customers car but not as bad.

 

The car was not starting so I pulled off the fuel hose and cranked a small amount of fuel into a rag. Threw rag away. Cranked again with a timing light connected to check spark and there must of been a leak in the HT lead which caused the fuel vapours to ignite. Pretty scary when it happens but luckily no damage as the flame dances on the vapour.

 

More scarily I watched the guy in the garage next door to ours burn out a customers nearly new BMW. He did a small local paintwork repair on the boot lid and was drying the area with a heat gun. The phone rang so he put the heat gun down in the boot (still running) and went to answer the phone. Not a great day for him.

 

Its easy to laugh after the event but sometime these accidents just happen.

Haha he tried to blow it out then for some reason he goes and tries to start it still while it is on fire!

 

I would have stopped trying to start it as soon as that spark went off!
