Thanks, I think it suits the mini & I'm sure there was a similar factory colour anyway. There might be some yellow detailing photos to come as well!

While I was getting on with the mechanical side of the car, my mum decided to help me out by digging out her sewing machine and knocking me up a unique interior for the mini. I had bought some Corbeau buckets in black but it didn't quite fit with the idea I had of creating a 70's mini with some fairly perdiod mods so her help was much appreciated. Mum did curse the front seat materials from time to time!

I didn't really have a rigid plan of action once the subframes were done and the engine in. It was a rolling chasis so I could flit between jobs as the took my fancy. New carpets were ordered and fitted in a complimentary colour...

I've been away on a course for a few weeks & haven't had an opportunity to update this thread so where was I?

I decided to go for a little detailing (bearing in mind the original inspiration for colour it seemed a no brainer!).

Like I said I had no set plan of action so was free to flit. Of the next few days I fitted the new lights front and back with a couple of changes from the usual on the front in p700's and 488's. I also fitted the new facet fuel pump, opting for the rear subframe position with a little home made plate for protection. The new hoses continued the detailing colour in the engine bay where I fitted new master cylinders and some lovey DSN bulkhead plates.

I think I tackled the glass (and finishing strips) next as well as the new mirrors before pushing her outside for another few nearly finished photos.

Other than finishing off the interior (and the electrics for which I have posted for help) my last real job was to fit the registration plates, period correct yellow & white raised digits. Here she is leaving the garage with a glimpse of being "pretty much done". All that's left to do now is get her electrics sorted and get her running. I am desperate to get her mot'd and on the road now just that last couple of things!
