Hi all, I'm currently experiencing problems on my 1275 engine in a 1979 1275 GT. The engine was rebored by morspeed to we believe 1330, Hardened valve seats were also fitted. The engine was then rebuilt by the previous owner. This was done approximately 4 years ago. We bought the car with the engine having done less than 100 miles. The engine never ran as it should, and now having done approximately 300 miles we decided something wasn't right. After doing a compression Test. Cylinders 1,2,4 ran 195psi. But cylinder 3 was at 155. After putting oil down the bore it raised to 175. The engine doesn't smoke, and runs fine when cold. But runs like a pig when warm. So basically am I looking at a burnt or poorly seated valve, or a piston ring?

Many thanks Joe
