Was just thinking of using my spare note book in my mini when it's done but was seeing if any one knew of a touch screen that I could use on the dash and the have the notebook in the boot so got my iTunes and programs on the go
Hope someone can help

It's called a Tablet... No need for a laptop these days.

A tablet would be a far cheaper option than finding a touch screen that will work with your laptop.

You could rig up the tablet as a display for laptop over  a wifi connection. Though a tablet will use so little electricity in standby it could be left running for days, and it wont be as susceptible to bumps as a mechanical computer hard drive. Android is also better for use without a keyboard etc.

You can get touchscreens with a vga driver board (usually uncased) off of Ebay, Aliexpress etc. but they'll cost you nearly as much as a cheap tablet.

tablet, look at maplins for some low end but still good ones that run of android, plus if you can find a case for your tablet you can use it as a mount easier
