Hi all,my mini was all fine until last week.it starts and when the revs drop it cuts out.if you let the revs off slowly it will tick over but as soon as the revs drop when I get to a junction or a slow corner it cuts out again.it drives fine when accelerating,just decelerating or coming to a stop.i did a service Tuesday but still no difference.any info or help would be great.im demoted to my shogun to get around now

Check all the vacuum hoses, I developed the dreaded spi erratic idle on Saturday, and £1.50 later its fixed!

hi wardyxxx i checked the vacuums and the short black 1 from inet to fuel trap was split.i replaced the end with a new 1 but it still cuts out but not as often.it drives a lot better,thanks for the advice

I took the fuel trap off too (where the short vac hose from the inlet connects to), blew it out with an air line and let it dry on a radiator over night. That helped too. Have you checked all of the hoses?

All 4 of them? Take them off and test them all, just in case!

well dried all the ecu and fuel trap out and replaced vacuum pipes and the ends but still the same.got it booked in to local mini garage monday see if they can sort it
