Thanks minimaxei. I will be very sad to see my little mate go :(

But I don't think its the end of mini`ing though. Project ideas are bouncing around my dome.

I'll bet, she looks very nice! I'm sure that will be snapped off your hands at that price for a mk1!

Once your bitten by the bug you won't be able to stay away :teehee:

According to E-Bay my costs at this point are £0.00. But they will want a percentage of what it sells for (I am very new to all this e bay selling malarkey) so cash deal and just end auction I guess for minimum costs ??

It's not a bad way to sell stuff, me and my missus have done it that way a few times... I'd be tempted if I had anywhere to put it as it's a lovely looking period piece. Were the mods definitely carried out way, way back...? They look typical mods of the time on an older Mk1, most of which were treated as bangers by the early '70s. The doors on it are definitely later than '62 - they've got the slightly longer handles on with the extra boss fitted onto the doorskin. Pukka!

;D

Cheers WMU,

The body mods were done way way back, according to the chap I bought it off.

First owned by a Vicar from Nottingham then sold on to a guy called C.Richards who I have been told did all the mods. Then I believe it was sold to the guy I bought it off, then to a mate of his down the road, then back to the guy I bought it off because he always regretted selling it. Then me. If that makes sense.

I think they`re the original doors just modded with the later handles ? Engine wise this was tuned early `80s !! still going strong, he`s a lively little fecker.

:)

It's always nice when you know the history of your car, or some of at it anyway - best of luck with the sale ;D . Really wish I had a bit more space, looks like a lot of fun that!
