I want to split my calipers to recon & clean them properly but don't want to re-use the old bolts.

Mini Spares don't have them (only got the 7.5 bolts) and aside from trying AP direct I am not sure where to go.

Would a bolt specialist have something similar or is this a made to order part?

The 7.5 and the 8.4 all use the same bolts buddy, these are the caliper to swivel hub bolts, p/n 53K1048

Hang on sorry.............  Are these the bolts holding the two sides of the caliper together? :shy:

Yes, the ones holding the 2 halves of the caliper together.

They are a special bolt with a self locking thread, you won't get them just anywhere.  And they are different for each type of calliper.  Remember you will need new seals too.  Since according to BL you aren't meant to split the callipers outside a clean room in a reconditioning facility both the bolts and the seal can be hard to find.  If you are going to split them you must be EXTREMELY careful about how you put them back together.  There is a thread currently in Mini Chat about what happens when the calliper fails due to either the wrong bolts or the wrong techniques being used.  Luckily (if that's the right word) it was on the track, I wouldn't want to imagine it happening on the road.
