Can anybody tell me if the Haynes manuals have changed over the years. I have one that goes up to 1988 and the mini we restoring is a 1989 just wondered if it was worth investing in a new one?

IMO i much prefer the old ones, i have a 1996 mini but more often then not i use my older manual (i have the light blue one, the light greeen one and the new blue one)

i find the detail and some of the infomation included in the older ones is much more helpfull but saying that the older ones dont include specific things such as injection models which is why i have that aswell

I am in the same situation. Have the 'up to 1988' manual but have an '89 Mini. I have never had any problems using the older haynes so you should be ok.

Thanks guys. Think we will stick with this one. was also looking at the restoration manual that Haynes do but seems quiet expensive if its gonna be similar to normal one. x
