ok so i've got some paintable gravitex for the underneath...it's been etched primed and rubbed down ready..gonna go with the gravity feed gun and 5% thinners.question is how many coats should i give it and should i let it dry and give it a quick flick over to key it between coats?
as always any hints tips and comments gratefully received

Best thing to do is get hold of the manufatures TDS and follow their instructions.

I would just buy a cheap Schultz gun and put it on properly, I have used it on my car and its good stuff and texture can be altered by adjusting air pressure

I would just buy a cheap Schultz gun and put it on properly, I have used it on my car and its good stuff and texture can be altered by adjusting air pressure

i got one..just can't get on with it..looked a right mess :wacko:

You should not need to use thinners with Gravitex. A standard schultz gun applies it nicely. The best thing to do as well as vigorously shaking the bottle is to sit it in some hot water for 10 mins, shake again then apply.

 

This is how i did Project Erms underside in the middle of winter. I used to use Tetra schultz and i used to thin that down with some white spirit as i was after a very fine finish to match the original on the sills on my RS2000.
