Hi all,

Where can I find the thermostat sensor on my 1994 Mini Sprite? The temp gauge on the dashboard doesn't work - thought this would be the best place to start!

Thanks

Darren

Sensor is on the right side in the cylinder head. It has a green wire going to it. If you pull off the wire and earth it to the engine, the gauge should move to hot, when the ignition is on. If it does then the wiring is good and the sender needs replacing.

Replacing the thermostat only costs a couple of quid and shoud take about 15 minutes.

Make sure you get the 88C stat and 2 gaskets.

I had a 94 sprite and temp gauge stopped working twice. Both times a new stat fixed it :-)
