My dad has spotted a very nice car for sale in Malta for a good price, however we are wondering will there be a lot of hastle involved in getting a car from abroad fully legal to drive on the roads of the U.K?
Thanks,
Harry

On the plus side it wouldn't have suffered the british winters so will probably be in far better condition than the equivalent british car.
Budget for £1000 plus on top of the asking price

they don't like cars leaving Malta
someone on a VW forum tried to save a few VW's and although he bought and owned them was not aloud to leave the country with them

I know someone who lives in malta, he mainly deals in early metros (tons of them out there all rust free!) he ships them over regularly, so cant see any other car being a problem! I think the last time i enquired he said it was about 600euro to ship a metro plus loads of spares over
Thats great, i will be sure to contact you if i decide to buy the car :) i was going to post a link to the car on here but im afraid that someone might buy it haha
