It's fantastic that the yoof are into the good old mini, but it doesn't half make me feel old, maybe I'm just jealous and wish I had a Mini when I was 19!

Loads of youngeruns on here, and every mini I pass looks like it's being driven by a 6th former! Makes me feel proper old...!

Bah humbug.

LOL nothing wrong with being old (I'm 40).

We have more money to buy more cars and get insurance for less than £100.

Despite appearances, I'm err... over 40

I'm down with the kids though - when I wear jeans, I totally ROCK the saggy arse look  :highfive:

getting old starts the day yr born, what makes you drive comes from within, that is where you are born with. I am no 90 or 19 but somewhere in the middle, and loving mini's every day......

;D

We had a great run over to Himley last weekend, the youngest driver was 17 and the oldest coming up to retirement in a couple of years. That is one of the great things about minis, after all when did you last see a 17 year old driving an E type?

My boss's second ever car, after his mini pickup was an e-type jag when he was 17... he told me he used to pull up in college with a better car than all his tutors! Them days have long gone now though >_<

after finishing working on the mini i feel very old and ache all over, i may ask my better half for a 2 post car lift for Christmas this year so that i dont have to kill my back every time i work on her.

I am glad that all ages drive minis, i started driving them when i was about 21 and now im 34 and still have a mini in my life thanks to the very friendly and helpful mini community.

i know what you mean, im not old, but equally im not 17 either.

i do think its good that young lads are driving minis, i just hope that all the ones i see driving them are actually into them, rather than.........

"only got it because they couldnt afford the insurance on a corsa vxr" (or whatever kids drool over at the minute)

i just wish minis were cool when i had my first one at 17, back then they wernt retro, no one had even started using the word retro in association with cars, they were just "old"

Look on the bright side mini's are becoming more collectable ....these young uns wont be able to afford a mini in about 5 years or the insurance

Then the oldies ruleeeeeee!!!!!!

:highfive:

Ps. Oldies describes anyone over 35 or in special circumstances 30 is you wear corduroy trousers and big knit jumpers

Tell me about it, whenever I turn up at a mini event, I seem to be the only one with child seats in the back and two small children in tow!!... Plus I also seem to be the only one who climbs out of their car and then staggers around stooped over and rubbing their lower back, whilst moaning, for the next ten minutes!! :shy:
