Hi all,

Looking for a valuation on my turbo mini project, it looks as if I may have to sell it, but really not too sure what its worth. What do people think?

Specs are as follows:-

1988 reg.

Fully rebuilt 1293 metro turbo engine

Omega Pistons

Stage 4 head

Large Kent Cam

New Bearings

RC40 back box with straight through centre section

Balanced crank

Balanced con rods

Duplex pulley

HIF44 Turbo carb

Fully polybushed

4 pot metro turbo calipers

Large vented discs

Braided brake lines

I believe it also has an MPI fuel tank

6 point rollcage

Harness bar

Dash bar

Corbeau forza sport bucket seats

Boost, Oil pressure and oil temperature gauges

Revolution 6x12 reps with 2 brand new and 2 with decent tread Yokohama A539s

Has both a roundnose 1 piece fibreglass flip front, and a clubman flip front.

Has an intercooler and oil cooler to be fitted.

Has no MOT or Tax, needs to be rolling roaded and tuned properly.

Not much left for this to be finished, windows need to go in, hazards currently aren't working. Oil cooler needs to be mounted/fitted, intercooler also needs to be mounted and fitted. Heater controls need some mounts fabricating and adding due to the turbo bulkhead box.

Have more photos if required, of build etc.

You will get more breaking it as it stands. Get it taxed for 6 months and get a MOT on it if you want to shift it for any decent money.

Do you think it'd be worth over 2 grand as it stands now?

Its a tough one, its worth 2k all day long, but i just dont know how many people would pay 2k for a mini that needs the engine set up, project finishing and an MOT...

Thanks for the replies you 2, it's got no rust whatsoever, I mean the bodywork isn't perfect, it's got a couple of scratches, but nothing major.

Engine is fully fresh, and does run, I'd just say it would need tuning just for peace of mind really. It's just I've lost all momentum in the project, even though it is close to being finished, I've got no enthusiam in it, I'd much rather someone else finished it, rather than just getting it ready for an MOT.

I may just try and get it roadworthy, get it mot'd and taxed then put it up for sale, suppose then it's ready for someone to drive it away
