Have an option to buy these panels very cheaply. They are after market, garage has said while he would prefer heritage, good quality after market would be fine.

I wouldn't know bad quality panels from a piece of shiny paper. May be asking too much, but can you tell from the pics whether these are ok or I should avoid?

They are fine to use they just need more adjustment usually, I think the scuttle and valance should be avoided, they are surposed to be the worst fit?

What brand is on them? Hadrian are good panels. Also, if you are fitting the whole front end you can make it all line up together, while it's loose, rather than trying to get one non fitting panel to mesh with other immovable panels!

They look like magnum panels so the rear valence may need to be modified somewhat in order for it to fit

I would not fit that scuttle. The one panel you do need to be Heritage is the scuttle. Everything else can be made to fit well including the rear valance.

I would check the door skin to see if the top is bowed out. If so don't bother with that although if its only slightly bowed some gentle pressure on it should straighten it out.

i agree with sonikk4, i wouldnt go near the scuttle, you definately need a genuine one (even then it still wont just fall into place) all the rest will fit with a bit of jiggling about. those rear valances arnt great but with a bit of skill can be made to fit well.

depends on the price really, they take more time to get right but can be done, just takes longer...

agree with the above, magnum stuff is fine, i stock and use them all the time, you wont get hadrian now, not unless its old stock stuff, they have been out of business ages now

yep, scuttles seem to be bad news now, they used to be ok, dont know why the qualitys  dropped off but you definately want a genuine one, the other things that are worth staying clear of are the door steps, some of the panel lines arent deep enough to match neatly if your trying to drop a section in rather than fit the whole thing

Ive restored cars with both, genuine and non and you need to mess around just as much to make genuine fit sometimes, may as well save the money and buy copy

Thanks for your help everyone. I can see a code on the front panel 08-01-205 but while I can find the panel on various sites, not the make. Also its for a mini up to 1989, my BOC is 1992 so it won't fit or will it?

front panels are the same from 1976 upto 1997 so that will be fine by the sound of it

definately 02 in the middle? was thinking a hadrian part number but my old catalogue has the mini front panel as 08 01 205, in fact the part number you have is for a metro front panel which are obviously totally different to what you have pictured!

if it is 08 01 205 then its a 1976 onwards front panel and will be fine for your car

No you're right it's 08 01 205.  So Hadrian is the maker?
